The Speaker of Kenya’s National Assembly, Justin Bedan Muturi, has declared Kibra MP seat vacant. The move is part of the formal electoral process following the demise of the immediate former MP Hon Ken Okoth. Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer in July this year. The action by NA Speaker flags off the official by-election process and awards IEBC the legal mandate to set the stage for a by-election. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has sensationally claimed former Kibra MP Ken Okoth got his alleged second wife from his Sonko Rescue Team. Family conflict over Ken Okoth’s burial plans

A section of the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s family has raised objections over his anticipated cremation in Nairobi. Led by Raymond Mbai, Okoth’s paternal family has also said  they are in the dark over burial plans. Kibra MP Ken Okoth dies of cancer at 41

Kibra MP Ken Okoth is dead. Okoth,41, died at Nairobi Hospital’s ICU on Thursday night, just two weeks after he made his first public appearance at Moi Girls School, Nairobi, after being away in France for five months seeking treatment.
