Kenya’s ruling party has, today, cleared McDonald Mariga as part of the group seeking  Jubilee’s ticket in the looming Kibra’s by-election. Confirming the development, the party’s National Election Board led by its chairperson, Andrew Musangi, indicated that 16 aspirants have expressed interest in carrying the party’s flag in the by-elections. Kibra’s MP seat fell vacant following the death of its former MP Ken Okoth. Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer in July.
